Noted at Eurocopter's Donauworth facility in Bavaria during early July was EC635T2+ D-HTSE (c 869), destined for the Iraqi Air Force as YI-270. It first flew on December 7, 2009. The helicopter is equipped with a Stand Alone Weapons System and has an electro-optical turret under the nose. A total of 24 were ordered in March 2009 (see Hips and EC635s For Iraq, May 2009, p7). It is believed the first examples had been delivered to Al Taji Ai Base in Iraq by June.
