Recently Mil Hip medium lift helicopters have been noted operating in Afghanistan wearing full Canadian Forces markings. The helicopters are believed to be the examples supplied under a contract let to SkyLink Aviation Inc in 2008. The company has operated Hips in theatre on behalf of the Canadian Department of National Defence for several years under different contracts to augment the nation's heli-lift capabilities in support of operations in Afghanistan.
