The fourth Zeppelin Luftschifftechnik Zeppelin NT made it maiden flight in mid-May from the company's facility at Friedrichshafen in Germany, with the company's Flight Operations Manager Fritz Gunther at the controls. It was handed over to the flight-test department and is destined to enter commercial service with Airship Ventures of California, USA, during June. Two of Airship Ventures' pilots were undergoing training with Luftschifftechnik Zeppelin at the time of the first flight.
