JOBY AVIATION recently became the first company to fly an electric vertical take-off-and-landing (eVTOL) aircraft as part of NASA's Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) National Campaign. Tests from August 30 to September 10, 2021, at Joby's Electric Flight Base near Big Sur in California, saw engineers from NASA's Armstrong Flight Research Center assess the noise levels of the in-development eVTOL.
