THE GENERAL Atomics-Aeronautical Systems, Inc (GA-ASI) MQ-9B SkyGuardian remotely piloted aircraft recently undertook the point-to-point flight of an unmanned aircraft in UK domestic airspace. Following UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) approval, the MQ-9B flew from RAF Waddington, Lincolnshire, to RAF Lossiemouth, Moray. The aircraft used the UK's airways and was directed by civilian controllers from UK air navigation services provider NATS.
