Having carried a record number of passengers in 2004 and now the biggest it has ever been in terms of fleet size, the Czech Republic's national airline CSA is looking to build on its success. Malcolm English reports from Prague on the airline which, after years of communist rule, has at last 'come in from the cold'. Ceske Aerolinie, or CSA (or Czech Airlines), Was the Czech Republic's national airline is more popularly known, prides itself on being the, largest national carrier among the new European Union member countries in terms of the number of passengers carried. However, recognising the increasing competition on its routes, particularly from low-cost carriers to its hub - Ruztne Airport, Prague — CSA is not resting on its laurels.
