Russia's Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) has revealed its mid-term fixed-wing procurement plans, which include acquiring ten Sukhoi Superjet 100s (SSJ100) and six Ilyushin Il-76TDs. All are slated to be received by 2020, according to EMERCOM's chief, Vladimir Puchkov, who signed the order on September 8. He explained that the first phase of procurement involves two SSJ100s; the second will comprise eight more examples of the regional jet, plus six new-generation Il-76TD transports, based on the military Il-76MD-90A. The first deliveries will take place in 2015. Mr Puchkov also said EMERCOM would take delivery of a small number of Mil Mi-8MTV-1s this year.
