Comair, operator of the Kulula. com and British Airways brands in South Africa, has taken South African Airways (SAA) to court over the R5 billion ($570 million) in loan guarantees it received from the state last year, filing papers against SAA on February 27. Comair is arguing that the recent assistance and previous bailouts (R11 billion since 1991) violate South Africa's constitution and laws on transportation and public finances.
