The European Union has relaxed its ban on TAAG Angolan Airlines flying to Europe after the flag carrier showed an improvement in safety standards. TAAG said that from November 24, 2011, it would start flying through European airspace using two Boeing 777-300ERs. In June 2007 the European Union banned TAAG aircraft from entering European airspace due to safety concerns. In its eighteenth update on November 21, 2011, the European Union said TAAG's two 777-3O0s were shown to be managed safely by the carrier and would be allowed into Europe.
