The Serbian Air Force (Vazduhoplovstvo i protiwazduhoplovna odbrana, ViPVO) has received the first two new Lasta 95 (Swallow) basic trainers, designated V-54s by the service. Commander-in-Chief Brigadier General Ranko Zivak confirmed the hand-over on December 9, 2011. Following production of two prototypes (known as PI and P2) that were used for testing and evaluation and the delivery of 20 examples of the Lasta 95N to Iraq, the first production example for the ViPVO arrived at Batajnica AB in mid-October 2011.
