If there was a prize for the ultimate venue in which to hold an international trade fair, the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace exhibition ought to be a top contender. The Malaysian Government has demonstrated that by locating its trade fair in an idyllic location, the old cliche 'you can't mix business with pleasure' must be wrong. Since its launch in 1991 the Lang/caw/ International Maritime and Aerospace exhibition, or LIMA for short, has been held on the holiday island of Langkawi, off the coast of mainland Malaysia.
