Boeing confirmed in February that many of the first 55 787 Dreamliners produced have been affected by delamination on some of the aircraft's composite structures. As reported in the last issue (see Dreamliner Production Update, March, p27), the delivery schedule of the airliner has been affected by the "change incorporation" work to repair affected aircraft. Boeing is to examine all Dreamliners produced so far, including those that have entered service with All Nippon Airways. A Boeing spokesman told AIR International the investigation and repair work for each jet "will take days not months, and can be conducted concurrent with other planned build activities".
