Problems have continued to mount for troubled Indian low-cost carrier Kingfisher Airlines, culminating in a demand for 600 million rupees ($11.84 million) in unpaid tax by the Indian Government. The airline has had over 40 bank accounts frozen resulting in staff going unpaid and flights being cancelled (see Troubled Waters for Kingfisher, April, p31). In March it suffered further disruption when many of its pilots refused to work.
