Cessna and Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) have signed two strategic agreements to jointly develop general and business aviation in the People's Republic of China. One paves the way for the manufacture and certification of a range of business jets, single-engine turboprops and piston-engined aircraft in China. Cessna, AVIC Aviation Techniques Co, Ltd (AAT), and the Chengdu Government will start negotiations to establish a joint venture to produce Cessna's mid-size business jet models, as well as a "potential new product" for the business jet market.
