The US Air Force issued a request for information (Rfl) covering the modernisation of its Bell UH-1N Iroquois fleet on April 17. The Rfl said that the air force is keen to "increase the UH-l's endurance, range, speed, all-weather capability, survivability and provide modernised communication and navigation system capabilities." The Rfl said the UH-1 fleet is one of the most reliable in the inventory in terms of mission capable (MC) rates and the air force wants to "provide the UH-1 with an additional 30 years of service and retain those MC rates."
