Deutsche Lufthansa AG took delivery of the first Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental at Paine Field Airport, Everett in Washington on April 25. The carrier is the first to receive the passenger version of the latest incarnation of the Jumbo Jet. Senior executives from both the airline and manufacturer attended a ceremony held at Everett on May 1 to mark the delivery flight of the aircraft (747-830 D-ABYA, c 37827, ex N5016R) to Germany.
