The past eight months have been eventful for the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. During that period it finally entered airline service, the General Electric (GE) GEnx engine was certified for use with the aircraft and in the spring the initial example was rolled out of the second final assembly line at North Charleston, South Carolina. It has not all been good news for the Dreamliner team however.
