The 9th Asian Aerosol Conference (AAC2015) was held at the Kanazawa Tokyu Hotel in Kanazawa, Japan, from June 24-27, 2015. AAC2015 was the latest of a series of conferences held under the banner of the Asian Aerosol Research Assembly (AARA - see separate article in this issue of AQCQ. The major focus is aerosols, mainly air pollution, but also engineering uses of aerosols for industry. The conference was chaired by Prof Yoshio Otani, from the School of Natural Systems at Kanazawa University. The registered delegate count was 520 (see Table 1), but only two were from the Southern Hemisphere.
