Sleep is the only way we can recharge our brain and restore important neurotransmitters. Sleep is also the time when the body does most of its repair work including rebuilding and restoring muscle tissue. This is because growth hormones are secreted during sleep, which is essential to rebuilding tissues.rnThere is a growing body of evidence indicating that chronic sleep deprivation increases risk of early death. In addition, one of the fastest growing areas of research is the link between chronic sleep deprivation and the risk of becoming overweight and obesity.
