The Nifty Little HM.14 Pou du Ciel (literally Sky Louse, but known in English as the Flying Flea) was the brainchild of amateur designer Henri Mignet, who helped spark the home-built movement in France and Britain during the 1930s. Unfortunately, a series of accidents led government officials in both countries to ban the small aircraft. (Mignet later modi-rnfied the design, but the public had lost interest.)
