My left hand rests on the throttle knob. Through the windshield I look out along the long nose of Steve Hinton's Curtiss-Wright P-40N Warhawk. The camouflage paint glistens in the light. Acquired by Hinton from a cloud-seeding company in the 1960s and beautifully restored by his Fighter Rebuilders in Chino, California, this Warhawk—now on display at the adjacent Planes of Fame Museum—is in top flying condition.
