Airbus said it delivered 629 aircraft in 2014, comprising 490 A320 family aircraft, 108 A330s, 30 A380s and its first A350 XWB. The aircraft went to 89 customers. "Airbus had the second best-ever performance [after 2013] with 1,456 net orders last year, from 67 customers [of which 14 are new]," Airbus president and CEO Fabrice Bregier said. The orders comprised 1,321 single-aisle and 135 widebody aircraft. By year end, the backlog had climbed to 6,386 aircraft, valued at $919.3 billion at list prices. Boeing announced it delivered 723 commercial aircraft in 2014.
