Dubai's fast growth continues; handles record passengers in 2013 1H: Dubai International Airport is one of the world's largest and most functional airports. Its duty-free shops are very thoughtfully laid out, in each of the three terminals. However the intra-terminal transportation, via a high-speed train shuttle, leaves much to be desired. To reach the shuttle from the arrival gate, is a very long walk-tiring and time-consuming-especially if one has more than one baggage item. Hopefully the new airport, the Al Maktoum International Airport, has this issue resolved.
