All Nippon Airways parent ANA Holdings rebranded AirAsia Japan as "Vanilla Air," by which name the Tokyo-based low-cost carrier will be known from Nov. 1. ANA Holdings ended its partnership with AirAsia on the AirAsia Japan joint venture in June, acquiring AirAsia's shareholding and moving to operate the carrier as a wholly owned subsidiary of ANA based at Tokyo Narita. The carrier will fly mainly to domestic and regional resort destinations.
