FAA proposes 1,500 flight hr. requirement for pilots. The real solution is initial and advanced training. The FAA's new requirements are merely yielding to political pres sure and do not represent the real world of piloting a commercial airliner anymore than it qualifies one to fly a Lunar Lander.
