Boeing, as expected, delayed first delivery of the 787 again, announcing that ANA now will receive its first Dreamliner in this year's third quarter instead of the current quarter. Flight testing was put on hold for more than six weeks after a failure in the P100 power panel of aircraft ZA002 caused an insulation blanket fire and the loss of primary electrical power on Nov. 9. VP and GM-787 Program Scott Fancher said, "This revised timeline for first delivery accommodates the work we believe remains to be done to complete testing and certification of the 787. We've also restored some margin in the schedule to allow for any additional time that may be needed to complete certification activities."
