In its 2019 Japanese operating lease with call option (Jolco) survey, Airfinance Journal counted 134 aircraft transactions that were financed or refinanced using the Japanese finance tool. Narrowbodies continue to account for the bulk of Jolco deals, particularly the Airbus A320neo-family as Boeing's competing 737 Max series remains grounded until at least September or October 2020.
