Delta Air Lines and Northwest Airlines have reached an agreement to integrate the two carriers, valuing the combined company at $17.7 billion. The new airline - the largest in the world - will be called Delta, and will have its headquarters in Atlanta and retain executive offices in Minneapolis/St Paul and New York. Greenhill and Merrill Lynch were financial advisers to Delta, while Morgan Stanley and JPMorgan Securities advised Northwest. Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz and Hunton & Williams were legal advisers to Delta; Simpson Thacher &. Bartlett and O'Melveny & Myers were legal advisers to Northwest.
