MARSHALL AEROSPACE and Defence Group (MADG) has completed and redelivered the first US Marine Corps (USMC) KC-130J Hercules tanker to undergo a planned maintenance interval at its maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility in Cambridge, UK. The aircraft, 165810 'BH-810', left Cambridge using callsign 'Otis 81' on July 3 to return to its unit, Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 252 (VMGR-252) 'Heavy Haulers' at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina. After returning from a deployment with Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force -North Africa Response Force the aircraft arrived on December 18 last year. MADG announced on October 1, 2020 that the US government had awarded them a ten-year, multi-million-dollar contract for depot-level maintenance on the USMC's 66-strong fleet of KC-130J tanker aircraft.
