On July 23, Rep. Don Beyer (D-VA) released a new report from the Departmentof Defense that includes recommendations long sought by Beyer and other regionallawmakers on how to mitigate helicopter noise in the National CapitolRegion (NCR), which includes Washington, DC, and parts of Maryland and NorthernVirginia.Entitled Review and Assessment of Mitigation of Military Helicopter Noise, thereport was prepared as a result of an amendment Beyer added to the National DefenseAuthorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2021.
