On Aug. 10, the U.S. Senate passed the historic, $1.2 trillion bi-partisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, which includes $25 billion for airports, some of which could be used to fund airport noise mitigation projects. According to a summary by Sen. Kyrsten Simema (D-AZ), one of the bill’s sponsors, the legislation (H.R. 3684) provides funding for: 1. Airport Airside and Landside Priorities: The Act invests $15 billion in priority projects at every airport in the United States.
