The FAA has still not finalized an interagency agreement with the Federal Mediationand Conciliation Service (FMCS), which will guide a review of FAA’s outdatedaviation noise policy.In a May 10 letter to the House Quiet Skies Caucus, FAA Administrator SteveDickson said his agency was working closely with the FMCS to finalize the interagencyagreement and looked forward to leveraging the FMCS commissioners’ expertiseand experience in mediation in formulating FAA’s aviation noise policyreview framework and stakeholder engagement process (33 ANR 62).
