NOISE EXPOSURE/SLEEP DISTURBANCE On Sept. 7, the FAA began recruiting people for its National Sleep Study, which seeks to develop a dose-response relationship between aircraft noise exposure and sleep disturbance. In a statement to ANR, FAA said: “The study will recruit 400 people from 77 communities around U.S. airports. Participants will conduct a five-day in-home physiological monitoring of their sleep disturbance from aircraft-noise exposure. Recruitment will continue over an expected 24-month period.
