Almost a decade late,Berlin BrandenburgAirport Willy Brandt(BER) has finally openedfor business. EngelbertLü tke Daldrup, head ofthe airport operating company FlughafenBerlin Brandenburg, welcomed thefirst two aircraft to the new terminal onOctober 31, 2020. Operated by easyJetand Lufthansa, their passengers includedeasyJet CEO Johan Lundgren andLufthansa CEO Carsten Spohr. The firstcommercial flights arrived at Terminal 1the same evening, while the first easyJetflight to London Gatwick left BER thefollowing morning.
