I would like to correct and add a couple things to the article about Golden West Airlines by Maurice J Wickstead in your October 2012 issue. Discharged from the US Air Force on Friday, April 19, 1968, at March AFB, California, the following Monday I started with Golden West as mechanic number 3. Numbers 1 and 2 were Dick Poole and Tom Wallace. We had one DHC-6 Twin Otter and the original airplane, a Cessna 401. GW rented part of a hangar from Holiday Aviation at Chino (which is still in operation).
