Today, airlines rarely fly more than a 'one-leg' flight that either starts or terminates at a hub airport. Having flown with a trunk carrier since 1985, I can recall flying only a handful of multi-leg flights, each of which occurred on Douglas DC-9s, and some of which didn't use a jetbridge. Yes, I know, I'm into ancient history here. I once flew a Minneapolis-Boise-Vancouuer service, but my last recollection of one of these was in 1985 when Republic Airlines operated a Detroit to Boston flight with an intermediate stop in Syracuse in a DCS Series 30. Unheard of today.
