Qantas airways received its first Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner (ZA215, line number 123, msn 36227, registered VH-VKA) in September for use by JETSTAR AIRWAYS. Another two GEnx-powered 787-8s are due this year, with 11 more through 2015 replacing Jetstar's Airbus A330-200s, which will be passed to Qantas. Jetstar anticipates introducing the 335-seat (J21Y314) Dreamliner in November on domestic routes from Melbourne, primarily to Gold Coast, Cairns, and Adelaide. International service, to Honolulu and Phuket, may begin in December.
