Us airways is adding 27 new 183-seat Airbus A321-231 (Enhanced) aircraft (IAE V2533-A5 engines, N508AY/MSN 3740 pictured) through the end of 2010. The initial aircraft are the first A321s to go to the West pilot group.rnAmerican airlines has jumped onto the Oneworld titles bandwagon with Boeing 777-200 (ER) N791AN. Former AA CEO Robert Crandall recently was quoted saying: "Alliances add overhead to operational costs and offer no functionality outside the interline system of years ago."rnLan cargo has taken delivery of two Boeing 777-F freighters on lease from GECAS at the same time as its cargo traffic has decreased by 25%. While the first aircraft (N772LA) has gone onto the Santiago-Viracopos-Miami-Amsterdam-Frankfurt route, the second (N774LA) may be offered for wet-lease. Two more aircraft are on order, with delivery scheduled for 2011.
