Perhaps they haven't taken EMBRAER (Empresa Brasileira de Aeronautica) seriously to this point because the Brazilian aircraft company has been limited to those 'cute' regional jets that don't intrude on their 'narrow-body' market. But all that has changed with the 'E-Jets', the 170/190 family (Airways, January 2007, July 2004 & January 2002). Not only have they become a major player in the RJ (regional jet) market, the twin-jets seemingly have come out of nowhere to take away sales from the A320 and 737 families.
