IF SUSTAINABILITY is your passion, you might have noticed an uptick in news stories about the growth in the enwvironmental sector. A new economy is emerging, bit by bit, and it's going to be a lovely shade of green. But is the growth real? In a word: yes. ECO Canada, an organization that conducts in-depth labour-market research in the environmental industry, suggests the environmental sector has grown tenfold in the past two decades, and is poised to keep growing. ECO Canada also suggests that nearly 75 percent of employers expect to hire new environmental employees in the near future.
