摘要

An integrated modelling approach for sheet rolling of a commercial AlMn alloy is presented which predicts the evolution in microstructure and properties during the various processing steps from the as-cast and homogenized condition to final annealing and subsequent forming of the aluminium sheet. It involves physically based micro-structure models which account for the evolution in microchemistry, microstructure and texture during the various processing steps, and which are combined with Finite Element (FE) simulations to account for the complex strain paths and their spatial, variations during rolling. The model concept and its predictions are discussed in relation to full-scale industrial processing of an AA3103 alloy.
