To be able to use aluminium successfully for chassis components, not only is the correct combination of mechanical properties required, but the values must be uniform. This is achieved by suitable and reproducible heat treatment. Otto Junker is now supplying two self-sufficient, continuously operating heat treatment plants to Volkswagen AG in Braunschweig. Otto Junker has developed from a classical "furnace maker" into a plant engineering company which, as a general contractor and together with selected suppliers, delivers and commissions complete heat treatment plants. The customer receives a generally self-sufficient overall installation all from a single source.
