摘要

Electron microscopy analysis has been performed with the aim of understanding the difference in deformation mechanisms at 300℃, 400℃, and 500℃. Mechanical properties of alloys tested under different hot torsional deformation conditions are related to the nature of phases present and their interaction with dislocations. The summary of the TEM observation is presented in table 4. The presence of dynamically precipitated particles is obvious for all temperatures, with their number decreasing with increasing temperature and decreasing strain rate. This combination of conditions has two additional effects: a) during the initial strain there is reduced supersaturation and dislocation density and b) for a total strain of 4 increased atomic mobility and time to permit coarsening of particles formed at low strains.
