Machinery designers and plant Operators alike are always striving for technological optimization in their projects. In proportion to this, the many demands made on associated electrical equipment are also becoming increasingly se-vere. In the same breath, howev-er, the wish is expressed for the best possible cost-utility ratio. Vi-able and economical automation Solutions must therefore achieve as highly accurate and rapid posi-tioning at the most basic level, as they do at the level of data coupling to the production control system.
