Quality requirements for rolled aluminium strip are constantly becoming stricter. Nowadays, end users expect the highest thickness and profile accuracy over the entire length of the strip, as well as flatness and excellent surface finish. In the last few years, several adjustment systems and control concepts have been developed and tested, and these have recently led to continual quality enhancement.
