摘要

Samples of cathode carbon blocks were made by electrical baking at high pressure (~300 kg/cm~2) and showed high density, low electrical resistivity and high thermal conductivity, compared to samples made conventionally by pressing or vibration. The results are discussed by mathematical models developed in the present work. The increase in electrical and thermal conductivities may be caused by reduction of the binder pitch content and by increase in the density of the binder coke in the pitch coke bonded carbon product.
