摘要

The phase transformations between a-Al(Mn,Fe)Si, Al_6(Mn,Fe) and Al_3Fe in an Al-FeMnSi-alloy during homogen-ization at 550℃ has been investigated. Chemical dissolution of the aluminium matrix revealed an interconnected network of intermetallic particles which could be infiltrated with plastic for accurate microanalyses of the particles. The analyses show that α-Al(Mn,Fe)Si forms during heat treatment and the fraction of this phase increases almost linearly with time. The fraction of Al_6(Mn,Fe) decreases rapidly while the fraction of Al_3Fe initially increases and then decreases somewhat at long heat treatment times.
