Back in May 2012, Tianjin Zhongwang Aluminium Co., Ltd contracted machinery and plant constructor SMS group to build an initial hot rolling mill and two cold rolling mills for hard aluminium grades. Then, in 2013, the company tackled the second construction phase, awarding SMS another major order for rolling mills. These are engineered mainly for further processing to produce beverage can materials. Given that the first plate was produced in mid-August 2015 and the first coil one month later, Tianjin Zhongwang's 1+1+3 aluminium hot rolling mill from SMS group went on stream as scheduled.
