In the Gulf Aluminium Council's latest newsletter of July, Jean-Baptiste Lucas, chief executive of the Gulf Aluminium Rolling Mill Company (Garmco), answered questions on the impact of a weak aluminium price, current challenges and future prospects for aluminium downstream in the Gulf. He critically addressed the massive inflow of Chinese metal in the Middle East and unfair competition through discounted imports. Below, the reprint of the interview.
