摘要

Talex recently placed an order with Hertwich Engineering for the supply of casthouse equipment for a new remelt plant. The capacity of the plant is between 30,000 and 40,000 tpy of billet in five different diameters. The plant will enable Talex to operate one of the most efficient and most versatile remelt plants worldwide. The first phase includes a multi-chamber melting furnace of the Ecomelt PR-80 type which combines best metal yield with high product quality and low energy consumption and emission levels. In addition, Hertwich supplies a furnace charging machine, a casting furnace and a melt refining unit as well as a vertical casting machine including moulds and cooling water system.
